Head of Performance Media (UM)

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Display strong leadership skills that will motivate staff and create a positive and productive work environment across the full team
  • Act as primary agency contact with client (non day-to-day affairs) Responsible for full media management of all accounts assuring that all necessary marketing direction and advertising strategy is provided, thorough and clearly understood
  • Provide strong integration across all digital team members integrating specialists from digital, search and social to develop and execute fully integrated media campaigns
  • Manage the flow of client media-related needs - create solutions and resolve problems
  • Monitor group workflow to assure that commitments are met and assignments are matched to the skill level of team member
  • Work with key media to maintain strong relationships and to stay on top of industry trends
  • Continually strive to lead the group in developing innovative media solutions
  • Help to recruit, train and develop a team of supervisors, planners and assistants 

Strategic Capabilities:

  • Leads and manages multiple work streams of client business, serving as the primary and high level contact to articulate The Company's view on media strategy and business philosophies
  • Responsible for comprehensive integrated management of all accounts across search, social and digital
  • Draws insight from program results and ensure dialogue with client and internal team on informed strategic implications
  • Sells in new creative media ideas across digital, search and social to client that aligns with their business, customer and brand goals
  • Works closely with account, creative and measurement teams to ensure media plans and creative/measurement work are strategically aligned and client needs are met


  • Assume substantial role on the core client team(s) to identify issues, develop new business opportunities with existing clients and assist in the development of new client relationships
  • Inspire clients with media knowledge and ideas


  • Responsible for oversight of all program budgets, and overseeing billing
  • Role in the management of department resources across search, social and digital
  • Assume leader role in key departmental or company initiatives
  • Promote/sell digital, social and search capabilities across teams/company
  • Develop people within the team by coaching, identifying areas for growth, celebrating successes, managing promotion process, keeping an open dialogue with your team, identifying training opportunity
